CAREER DAY SPEAKERS NEEDED...We are excited about our 2013 Career Day to be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 5:30 p.m., sponsored by the Mt. Olive Girl Scout Troops. This event is open to all children and youth (members & non-members). We are still in need of speakers in the fields of Science, Technology, Transportation, Pharmacy, Small Business Ownership, and Ministry. If you are available to share your experience, expertise, and passion with our young people, please contact Reverend Crunch.

CELL PHONE & TECH EQUIPMENT DONATION...If you are upgrading your cell phone, ipad or laptop, please consider donating them to our Youth Ministry to distribute to our youth in need. Please see Reverend Crunch for additional details.

COLLEGE PREP SEMINAR...Dr. Pam Smith will conduct a 2-part intensive seminar for all Mt. Olive High School Juniors and Seniors during the Winter Break. Students can attend Thursday & Friday, December 27-28 or January 3-4. This seminar will consist of:

• College applications
• Personal statements and essays
• Requests for letters of recommendation
• Bright Futures application and other scholarships
• FAFSA online applications (if students will be attending college during summer 2013, they will use their parents' 2011 income tax return and can actually input this information now)
• ACT/SAT/ registration

Students should bring a College Planning Portfolio including letters of recommendation, transcripts, ACT/SAT test scores, personal statements, and parents' income tax returns (2011). By the end of this seminar participants will have COMPLETED and SUBMITTED EVERYTHING REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION and FINANCIAL AID. Space is limited and registration forms can be located in the Church Lobby.
